
Chris Faricy is the inaugural Hicker Family Professor of Renewing Democratic Community.
He is also Co-Director of the United States Policy Agendas Project.
He has published three books: Deserving Americans: Partisanship and the New Politics of Social Policy (with Christopher Ellis forthcoming with the University of Chicago Press 2027). Welfare for the Wealthy: Parties, Social Spending, and Inequality in the United States (Cambridge University Press 2015) and coauthor of The Other Side of the Coin: Public Opinion Toward Social Tax Expenditures (Russell Sage Foundation 2021). His research areas include public policy, political economy, and public opinion and is broadly interested in examining the politics of economic inequality.
